Apple updated its Messages app with lot of new features in iOS 10. Well, that was very important for Apple to do that to stay in competition with likes of WhatsApp.
After the much needed update in iOS 10, stock Messages app on iPhone is equipped with lot of new features like hand writing support, conversion of words to emojis etc.
These features have been chatting with friend over text much more enjoyable. Apart from these features, users can easily add photos to messages to send them to their friends.
Guide to Save Photos from Stock Messages App on iPhone
Sometimes when you receive an awesome photo, you want to download it to your album. If you have come accross such situation on your iPhone, here’s how you can download it from stock messages app.
Step 1: First of all slide to unlock your iPhone.
Step 2: Launch the Messages app on your iDevice.
Step 3: Go to the conversation from where you want to download the photo.
Step 4: Scroll to the photo you want to download or save.
Step 5: Tap on that photo. In case you are have iPhone 6S or later with 3D Touch support, simply hard press that photo and scroll it up to get Save image option.
Step 6: After that, you will see Share button at the bottom left corner.
Step 7: Now tap on that and you will see Save Image option.
Step 8: Select Save Image option.
That’s it. The photo will be saved to your photo album. To view it, go to your homescreen and open the Photos app. There you will see that just downloaded photo.
